Happy Halloween

Life without a cell phone. What!

Really my life right now is pretty boring, not much blog worthy. So this is probably a huge stretch even for blogging. Rob has been gone for 3 weeks now, out in Utah starting his business, and so communicating has become more of a challenge. Too boost the challenge level - my (2 month old/new)phone died. I took it into Verizon and they agreed too that "Yes infact your phone has died" So because the phone had been purchased not even 2 months ago. They sent for a new phone, Problem solved I thought. Well they had no loaner phone, so I was transported back to life years ago without a cell phone.

Which would probably not have been too bad if 1. Rob had been here and 2. If we had a House phone. But talk about quiet quiet days. I survived Thanks to Natalie and Brian Evans who have been such great friends, and have let me crash in on their family activities, and have let me borrow their phones to call Rob. I was without a phone for 7 days. My New phone is working wonderfully. Thanks again to Natalie & Brian. I guess this experience has taught me two things, and those are I talk alot on the phone, and secondly I could probably survive without a phone, but it wouldn't be very fun.

Tornado Watch... Tornado Warning...

Ya just gotta love living in Kentucky when the sirens start screaming. I love the thrill and the excitement of Mother Nature. Even though I understand the seriousness of it all. I loved the speed of the clouds turning the sky black black. Had to call and tell Rob that he was missing out on all the fun.

Tonight reminded me of last year when I was driving out to a friends house out in Oldham County, and I was just moments infront of a big black storm. Same weekend, Rob and a friend drove from Georgia back to Louisville and well they spent many moments taking shelter under the overpasses on the roads. They actually saw a tornado approx 50 feet away. Super Super Crazy!

Happy Birthday Rob!!!

I thought since Rob is out in Utah I would honor his birthday by Simpsonizing him. He is one of the biggest Simpson Fans I know. So Happy Birthday Rob. I LOVE YOU!!!

Things I love about Rob:

• Rob is a GREAT husband, provider, and MY BEST FRIEND.
• His Smile, and beautiful Blue Eyes (First thing people see when meeting Rob is his Smile)
• He is the most positive person, he always kind find something positive about any situation.
• Loves having FUN!
• Is suprisingly a little bit of a Perfectionist. (I must be rubbing off on him. lol.)
• Ever So Supportive, and Patient
• ...Have I mentioned Positive
• Loves the Youth of the Church/Loved his church calling
• He is a HUGE College Football Fan! Go Cougars!
• Loves the challenge of Something New : Hence moving to Utah to start a New Business (sometime I wonder what I have gotten myself into - which is probably not an uncommon thought for most wives. lol.)
• He is going to be the BEST DAD. He is so excited for the adoption to happen.

Not enough time to continue, But Ijust wanted to share some of the things I love about my BEST Friend.

6 things about me...
1. I met Rob while in College at Southern Utah University in beautiful Cedar City Utah. We dated for 6 months, engaged 4 months and then married August 11, 2000. It however was not love at first sight as I met Rob during one of his college relationships that he was trying to get out of, but didn't want to break hearts or hurt feelings. I told him that he just needed to stop leading the poor girl on, he did and then we started hanging out. The rest is history as it is said.

2. I am a lived in 3 different state in the past 4 years. Utah, Michigan, Kentucky, and looks like we're making it a full circle - We're moving back to UTAH. - The thing I hate most about moving is all the PACKING!

3. I had No cavities until I got back from my mission to El Salvador. For the record, I only have had 1 cavity in my life.

4. I too have hiked the Grand Canyon...South Rim to North Rim in one day (as did Pepper - my faithful hiker). 23 miles, 5,000 feet down, 6,000 feet back up, 13.5 hours, hit the wall about 8 miles into it, took a Gatorade shower when the hose to my camelpak had gotten disconnected, lost all 10 toe nails, and too many memories to count. I loved it and looks like I will live closer now to be able to possibly do it again, as my dad has gone every year for the past 5 years. Keep ya posted on that!

5. I have been to Mexico on vacation 17 times. 13 of the times I camped on the beach in a tent. The other 4 times were with the Spanish Club at school.

6. I grew up in a beautiful small town in Arizona (Page). Best thing about Page is the beautiful lake that is but 5-10 minutes away. Best part about the summers, was working in the morning and then spending the afternoons down at the lake.
