Learning is so much fun... ABC's

Karlee is loving getting to go to Preschool. She loves her teacher and all her classmates. Going to school has strengthened her desire to practice her letter writing. She asked me for paper and pen and got to work. Here is her whole Alphabet done all by herself. A cute thing is that it looks like she started at the bottom and worked on her way up.

Mom . . . Can I help?

I have a Awesome little helper. I was cleaning the house when Karlee asked if she could help - I thought for a minute of what I thought maybe she could do with little assistance and then thought . . . what the heck . . . I let her put the dishes away. I know harmless right? This was big for me to let go of some control. haha.

Karlee had so much fun, and she really did an amazing job. As she put the dishes away she would straighten them  so that everything was just right. haha. She would ask me where things went and then say 'Oh yeah that right!'

Since then she has helped me with laundry, cleaning the bathroom, and straightening up the pantry. I could really get use to this, huh. Love this little girl!!!! 

Its time for preschool - yay!!!

School started about a week ago and Karlee has been super excited for her turn. We went to a Open House last Friday and Karlee has been asking everyday if it was her turn. She is really excited to go to school. I can't believe how big she is getting - honestly it feels like just yesterday that we were hanging out getting to know each other in a small cozy hotel room in Tennessee.

She was okay when I told her that her friends were going to have to stay at home while she went to school, we compromised with them getting to stay in the car and wait while she was at school.

Summer Movies

This summer we have been busy with life, family and having fun. We have enjoyed the summer with a couple summer movies at the theater and the local drive-in (which is our family's favorite place to go).
