Trip to Build-a-Bear

On Friday we got to hang out with Cousin Cody and Bo. We started our fun day at Del Taco, Karlee enjoyed her taco and loved playing in the kids play area. (No photos - didn't think to take pictures, ugh!) Then Holly surprised the kids each with a $10.00 gift card to Build-a-Bear. They each got a bear (the boys)/kitty (Karlee) at Christmas time from Sally. So it was time to go shopping for a new outfit. Karlee had so much fun.

They started out giving their bears/kitty a well deserved Air Bath. Ya Karlee's kitty really needed after she drug it through the parking garage (nice, i know).

Scrub Scrub Scrub

Shopping was so exhausting that they needed to go back to the bathtub for another bath.

Karlee knew just what she was going to be shopping for. . . PJ's. Her kitty was in need of some comfy pajamas. Perfect Fit! Now it was time for Karlee and Kitty to try out the fold-out beds.

A Perfect fit!!!

Once Karlee had finished her shopping she was ready to go, but waited patiently for the two boys to settle on their purchases.

Thanks Aunt Holly for the shopping trip!

Happy Birthday to my beautiful mom!

Happy Birthday to my beautiful mom!
My mom is very special to me. I love her so much. She is such a special part in my life, and I learn from her everyday. She is truly BEAUTIFUL. My mom has a strong testimony of the gospel, and knows it and lives it daily. She is such a perfectionist, yet at times I am sure she cannot see how truly perfect she really is. She has raised a beautiful family who have in return blessed her with beautiful 13 grandchildren. My mom is an example to her family and to those who are blessed to associate with her. I think of her on a daily basis as I live my own life, I hope that I can be the Christ-like and virtuous woman that she is. Happy Birthday and Mom I LOVE YOU!!!

Valentines Day 2011

Valentine's Day was a special day for us this year, Rob was home - we loved it! (Rob's work is trying yet another workday schedule so he had Sunday and Monday off - so essentially he had valentines day off.)

Our Valentines Day 2011

We had a few errands to run in the Big city (haha) so we started our day off with daddy making breakfast. Daddy made a quick drive to Nigh-Time Donuts. They were really yummy!

After doing some errands we went to Sweet Afton's at Gardner Village (had a $$voucher to use) and got some yummy sweets. Well Karlee and Rob did. It really was a cute store, they had almost any type of candy that you could think of, and lots of chocolate, and some yummy fudge (30 different types).
Later in the day we had a perfectly planned Valentine's Day Tea party - Hosted by Aunt Sally. (Darn it again! I didn't get a picture of Karlee and Sally. Maybe I will get one and then just insert it in this post later) It was really cute, she had small sandwiches, and a valentine for each of the little kiddos. The kids had a fun time.
.
We ended our day together as a family. We watched a movie and then called it a night. We had a fun day - loved that we got to spend it together!

Karlee gets to see Tangled

For Karlee's birthday we decided it would be fun to take her to her first movie at a Movie Theatre. Rob has said ever since Karlee was born that she was not going to go to a movie theatre until she was 5 years old. We broke him and talked him into letting Karlee see a movie since it was her birthday after all. Rob took the day off work and we got to celebrate Karlee's birthday together as a family.
.
Tangled was such a cute movie. We all loved it. Karlee did especially well. (Good thing the theatre wasn't full of people.) Karlee sat through most of the movie, but then got a little restless and was able to walk up and down our row of seats.

Celebrating the Super 3

Karlee turned 3 on Monday and so to celebrate it we had a small little party with family that lived close by. We had a "Super-girl" party. We prepared Hawaiian haystacks for dinner - they were super yummy. No picture of dinner - I blame that on having a small kitchen.haha. Everyone enjoyed them!

We opened birthday presents (Thank you to everyone - everyone was so generous). The theme of the party quickly turned from a Super-girl party to a Princess party. As the majority of her gifts were princess, and princess dress ups. Karlee was in HEAVEN!!!

Look at those feet - she is using them as anchors.

I think this girl could have opened presents all night long - she loved it!

Then we had some 'Super' chocolate birthday cake, and then enjoyed everyones' company while the kids played.

Chocolate cake with butter cream frosting - Yumm-o! Embellished with Pink and Red decorating gel to make the Superman logo.

.................Let the Dress Ups begin..................

Pretty in Pink Princess from Grandma Worthen - Thank you!

Disney's Cinderella Karlee from Grandma Weston - Thank you!

.

For the party favors I made each kid a superhero cape. The boys got the traditional Superman and Batman cape and the girlies got pink supergirl and princess crown capes. I am glad that they turned out. (Thanks to my mom for making a cape many many years ago for my brothers because I used the original as the pattern. so easyand simple!) We took pictures and wouldn't you know it the birthday girl was the only one not cooperating. long day for a 3 year old for sure.

All the Superheros that came to the party!

Happy Birthday Karlee
We LOVE you!!!

Karlee got a bike from her mom and dad.

New Calling - - WHAT?

These past couple of weeks have been crazy and that all really I can say. haha. A couple Sundays ago we were all enjoying the new time change (9am - church) and had come home grabbed some lunch, and then off to our coveted Sunday naps we went. Later that afternoon, we got a call from the bishop, asking if Rob and I could come in to see him that day. My first thought was Rob is getting a calling, since I had been put into Nursery back in August (and actually loving it!) So we went... at the bishops office, Rob was extended a calling (Employment specialist), and then the bishop said "And Sister Weston we have a calling to extend to you today as well." I thought (probably said - its all a blur really) well I have a calling and I am actually enjoying it this time. The bishop then extended the calling of Primary President. Yes that's what you heard, President. Wow... I was in shock, he asked me if I had any questions, and I just sat there trying the process the words 'President'. I didn't have questions, because I didn't know what I should even ask... All I knew was that I needed counselors. I know we have been in our ward for almost 9 months, but I didn't know many people, so this was going to be interesting. I spend alot of time on my knees in prayer, and what an amazing experience that was. I recieved the confirmation that I was searching for on the names that I presented. Testimony builder!
.
Its been a couple weeks since that Sunday, and we are working going on our 2nd Sunday of Conducting (my counselors and I). Its going prettying good. I have amazing counselors: Kerrian Halling, Kate Todd, and Karen Butler. It sounds crazy to be saying this, but I am anxious and excited to get to know more about how Primary works, get to know each child in our Primary. We have a Primary of 120 children, and 3 nurseries.
