Creative playing

I love when Karlee plays with all her toys at the same time. Karlee when downstairs to get two toy cars (mater and lightening mcqueen) and this box is what she came up with. Funny thing is that box was stuffed full of toys and she didn't even remember to bring up the two toy cars that she went down for. Silly girl!

Box full of Imagination!

Summer Page Trip - Part 2

Our trip to Page was so fun and relaxing and we enjoyed every minute. My parents got home from their couple days enjoying the Shakespearean Festival and my dad was off to his Papa's camp out (all the boys camping weekend). Rob was still working on his counter top job so he stayed with us girls at home.

Karlee thought we needed to have a girls night, so we did! We painted toe nails, watched a short movie, played games, had lots of pink things. Best part of the night was that Rob was invited and he was a good sport - he is always a good sport when it comes to his little girl.

Our last day spent in Page was hot (not any different than the others. haha), Rob was done with his counter tops and so it was time to go and spend some quality family time with grandma. We hit the playground - Karlee had a good time and she was loving all the attention from her dad.

Then we headed to the local lookout spot: the white house. Can't believe this but this was Rob's first time here, this was Karlee's 2nd time. This place is so cool, and Rob loved it.

Our little family!!!
Two excited climbers.

Everyone in this picture is HOT!
Beautiful Girlies!
Here is the counter top job that Rob has been working on all week. He did a great job and the people were happy with the results.

Summer Page Trip - Part 1

We are loving every minute of summer time. This week Rob had a scheduled a counter top job down in Page, so we planned in a week vacation visiting with grandma and papa. We were all super excited to take a little break and enjoy the beauty of  Arizona.

Our trip took a little longer than we had thought - too many bathroom breaks. Our first break was actually in Scipio and found out that there is a Petting Zoo (at the Flying J gas station). There were baby lambs, a zebra, ostrich, goats, 2 emus, donkeys, chickens and ponies. It was pretty fun.

Once we got to Page, it was time to relax, at least for Karlee and I. Rob had to get to work on his counter top. When we scheduled this trip we  found out that my parents were going to be in Cedar City for 3 days - so we entertained ourselves.

Papa asked Karlee to watch his garden while he was out of town. She was excited and very willing. They went out to garden so Papa could show Karlee what to do. Karlee was anxious for the tomatoes to ripe. She took really good job.

We loved being at Page, we enjoyed the quiet, slow paced life. On the days Rob was home early enough from the counter top job we headed to the lake. It was so much fun. We couldn't get enough.

We spent hours at the lake swimming at the swim beach. The water was so warm - it made the water so enjoyable.

Karlee is so lucky to have such an amazing dad. They spent hours playing in the sand. Lots of castles, and silly faces. Life just couldn't get better!

The swim beach was the perfect place to beat the heat. Rob worked on perfecting his handstand while in the water. Karlee practiced swimming and did such a good job. I enjoyed relaxing on the beach taking a few naps here and there under the umbrella. ☺

Nothing tastes better in the summer time than some yummy sweet watermelon. Karlee was in heaven and so excited to sink her teeth into this watermelon.

Firework Derby 2013 with the Frehners

What a fun night this was is all I would have to say... We got word that our awesome friends the Frehners were going to be up North visiting family over the 4th of July. They invited us to come and participate in the Annual Firework Derby.
Rob got busy making his Firework Derby entry (a car with fireworks glued onto it). Rob was having so much fun making the car, and got some 'engineering advice' from Matt.
It was so much fun to get to see Jen (my sweet friend). It was like old times. haha.
Karlee had a great time as well reuniting with Britley and Landri Frehner. Such cute girls.
Here is Rob's Firework Derby entry up close before it had its chance to shine!!! When it was time for the truck to prove itself on the starting line the guys that ignited all the fireworks called for Rob to come talk to them... They told him not to be surprised when his truck doesn't go anywhere. haha. Rob had put the fireworks in the wrong positions. So this truck just ignited and burned up. haha.
Here is the aftermath of this fireball. It was still smoking at the end of the night. Karlee sure was proud of her dad. Rob loved it!!!
Yep still smoking. Too funny and such a super fun night. I could see this becoming something to look forward to around the 4th of July.

4th of July

Rob had the 4th of July weekend off, which was a first in 3 years. We loved having him home. We had a simple relaxing morning at home and decided to pass up the parades this year (Rob isn't one for parades☺). We decided to celebrate the 4th by going to the movies. We actually met up with Monica and her family and watched Despicable Me 2. We actually really liked it for a sequel.

In the late afternoon we met at Monica's house for a yummy BBQ and were surprised with my parents showing up. We didn't know what their plans were for the 4th, but we were pleasantly surprised with their visit. Karlee just LOVES my sister's backyard (honestly who wouldn't its huge!) and she enjoyed some sprinkler fun with Sadie and Paige.

Once it got dark we went out for the fireworks show... Matt had bought a table full of fireworks over the past couple of years and he was excited to light them up. Both Rob and Matt were like little kids again. haha.

Rob & Matt with (I think) 1/2 of Matt's firework stash.
We had a great 4th of July and being able to spend it together as a family was the highlight. We captured some pictures of the evening.

Seriously LOVE this girlie!

It was fun to spend the evening with my parents. They have been on the go their entire summer with trips to Alaska, trips to see family here and there, and back home to check on their poor neglected house.

What a lucky girl Karlee is to have such an amazing grandma and papa. She was in heaven having them up to celebrate the 4th of July!

More photos of the night - Karlee and her Grandma - she sure loves this lady!!!

Karlee did surprisingly well with all the fireworks, as she normally is scared of super loud noises. She even got in on the "sparkler" action. Look how big she is getting. Love her!

Gotta love up close pictures. I love this picture actually. My mom is an amazing woman. She has so much love to share - super great example!

Girls Getaway with Grandma 2013

Grandma's Getaway was a super fun time this year. My mom planned a Hawaiian themed girls day filled with lots of fun activities. Karlee was excited to spend time with her grandma and with all her cousins.

Jordan, Sadie, Taylor, and Karlee
Karlee with some of her cute cousins enjoying some yummy delicious orange smoothie. Great way to start a day filled with festivities.

It was such a beautiful day to get together.

Sydney - this little thing makes us smile, she is such a cutie!

Grandma had lots of fun things planned for the day. She taught the girls some Hawaiian words, everyone got name tags with our names in Hawaiian. We learned about the Hawaiian Islands and some history of the church on the island. Segi talked about what it meant to beautiful on the outside but more importantly on the inside.

Segi taught all the girlies the hula. Looks like everyone had a good time - beautiful dancers. Karlee as well as some others really were taking this serious. Karlee loves to dance and looks like she really is into this.

Time for some limbo and Pizza. Papa showed up with some yummy Hawaiian pizza.

We enjoyed some yummy Hawaiian Pizza and fresh fruit. The pizza delivered by Papa all dressed up in his Hawaiian attire. Nothing better than some Hawaiian style pizza - everyone enjoyed lunch.

Karlee enjoyed lunch with her cousins. Great food. Great company!

After lunch we continued all the festivities with some

Karlee loved everything about this day!

We ended this day with a couple hours spent at Seven Peaks in Provo. It was so much fun. Everyone loved spending time with their cousins. Nothing better than water, rides and fun!
