RAGNAR Madness!!!

Never would have called myself a runner let alone run a Ragnar, but this year I worked really hard and have found a new love for running. It didn't happen over night and I probably worked harder than I ever thought I could. But I am super proud of myself and what I have worked to accomplish.

My sister-in-law Segi invited to run with an Amazing team. Here we are before the Big day. We met at Sina's home (Segi's sister) loaded into Segi's van and off we went onto Logan to start the big race.

Museum of Natural Curiosity

Karlee and I went down with Monica and her kids to Thanksgiving Point to the new Museum of Natural Curiosity. This place was a lot of fun and had lots of fun things for kids to do. We went the same day as my Ragnar Race, so I was pretty anxious and tried to rest. 

Karlee and Sadie had a lot of fun together exploring all the Museum had to offer.

In the Museum there was a fun place that was a little Animal Hospital and a little town to explore. I think that we would probably love to come back again.

Home Depot - Summer Fieldtrip

Home Depot Field Trip: The kids got to walk around Home Depot and check out all the departments. They had a fun time checking out all the plants outside and watching wood get cut. After the field trip I took the kids to Macey's to get some yummy ice cream. Fun way to spend a couple hours on a beautiful summer day.

Twin Lakes Hike

We headed up Big Cottonwood Canyon with Monica and her kids for a fun day of hiking and exploring. We decided on a short 1 mile trail hike.

Let it be said that this 1 mile trail hike was not necessarily easy. There was a steady incline that made you appreciate the goal insight.

Paige was super nice to stay with Karlee the whole way up and down the hike. She kept encouraging her when Karlee thought she was gonna DIE!

We made it to Twin Lakes. It was beautiful and the kids had lots of fun.

Such a fun day and so much fun to hang out with Monica and her kiddos.

Creative Arts - Summer Fieldtrip

Another FUN Summer Field trip was at a local Creative Art Studio. Karlee had a really good time learning how to make art. Today she worked with clay and made this cute lizard.

Karlee's Bike Wreck

These pictures were obviously taken a little bit after  the "Big" wreck. Poor girl!!! Karlee has been so excited to ride her these days and has been somewhat lucky as she hasn't had too many scary incidences. 

She turned too sharp on her bike and when right down. She was lucky to have her helmet on so guessing things could have been worse. Poor girl - she banged up her knew and a large goose-bump on her forehead resulting in a probably a massive headache.

Karlee's sweet friend Kate came over to play and that helped Karlee to feel better so much more quickly. 

Mirror Lake Adventure

We went on a day trip to Mirror Lake with Monica, kids, and my parents. It wasn't as warm of a day as we had hoped which made altered our days plans. There was a storm roll in which made for a cold weather retreat.

On our way up to Mirror Lake we stopped by to look at the campgrounds that Monica and Matt have camped at. They love this area! Its Beautiful so its easy to see why.

The kids loved the river - too bad the weather was cold. 

The girls had fun gathering Wildflowers for Grandma Jenkins.

Karlee LOVES this guy and she is one LUCKY girl. She worked really hard on her picture for her dad. Her dad LOVES her so much and loves being her dad. 

Another day at the Aquarium

We have been loving our passes to the Aquarium. Karlee LOVES going there and seeing all the fun animals.

One of the places I love going to is the Penguin Place. They are so much to watch.

We saw the Sea Turtle while we were in the tunnel.

This is the Place Park - Summer Fieldtrip

Summer Fieldtrips are always so much fun. This field trip was at This is the Place Heritage Park. We had beautiful weather and spent most of the day - actually stayed until they closed up the park. Its such a fun place with so much information about the lives of the pioneers and what their lives were like so many years ago.

The train is always a huge hit.

We spent a good amount of time at the Indian living area.

Learned lot about the way Native Americans built their homes.

We love going to the local pioneer school house. This time around Karlee was really got into it.

This is how Karlee would learn to write her name in the 'english' taught in that day.

Its always fun to stop in and play the pioneer games and do pioneer chores.

Completed our day with a horse ride. Karlee was super excited to get to for a little ride.
