New Year's Eve

New Year's Years has become one of our most anticipated days of the year. We get together with family, eat yummy food, exchange Christmas gifts, play games, and ring in the new year. This year Troy and Segi hosted the evening. It was super fun - Thanks!!!. Segi decorates so cute and had her house so perfect for the night. The dinner was with a Mexican Theme: yummy tamales, enchiladas, homemade salsa, JalapeƱo roll ups (a fam fav),  and lots of other super delicious foods.

Most of  the Grandkids.
Again Rob's work was super busy (broken record) and Rob was unable to come down with Karlee and I. Karlee and I hitched a ride with Monica and her family and Rob came down after he got home from work. Rob made it down to Troys house around 10 pm and everyone seemed to be excited to see him.

Rob getting attacked by the kids.
We are a family that loves games!!! Another fun thing about New Year's Eve is my mom and dad bring up all the new games they got for Christmas. Its a fun night of playing games, cousins playing together, and spending time visiting.

Abbey, Paige, Monica, Grandma, Austin, and Me.
Abbey, Paige, Sadie all playing Twister, and Sydney doing her own thing.
Super fun night with all the kids playing together. It so fun to see these cousins spending time together.

Karlee, Sadie and Sydney playing Dress Up!
Abbey, Paige, Teni, and Austin.
It was time to ring in the New Year and we did with lots of excitement and flare. Matt had brought down some fireworks and so all the guys and kids went out into the FREEZING weather to celebrate. Rob even dared some of the kids to go out barefoot (CRAZY!!! - but he got a couple takers).

These Barefoot Crazies!!!
We celebrated the New Year's with a family toast!

Karlee didn't quite make it to Midnight. So I quietly welcomed in the New Year holding my most prized possession  Best way to start the new year I think!!!

Happy 2013!!!!

G&G Jenkins Annual Dinner & Bowling Night

Dinner with my brothers and sisters
Every year we look forward to my grandparents Dinner and Bowling night. This year Rob has been so busy with work that he was not able to attend. So I flew solo that night (bummer). It was was a fun night - but Rob always makes everything much more fun.

My adorable Grandma Carole and Grandma Frank Jenkins. They are always so thoughtful to do this for their family. Its always so fun to get together during the holidays and catch up with family.

Segi and Me at the bowling alley
Bowling is always fun with all the family. Not my best night of bowling - don't think I even broke 100. Ugh. Maybe nex year will be better. :)

Our Christmas

Our Christmas morning started at 7:30, when Karlee woke us up. This was our first Christmas just the 3 of us. It was quiet and small but we loved it. Made me think of one of our Christmas' in Kentucky where it was just Rob and I.

Karlee had a great Christmas and Santa was super nice to her. She got "Jake and the Never-land Pirates, Buckey, Captain Hook, and friends". She got Chutes and Ladders, and the Leap Frog Tag reading system.

Santa was super nice to me this year as well. I got a crock pot (much needed) to replace the one that had died 2 years ago I got some luggage. Karlee helped me open up my presents.

Rob surprised me with a IPad Mini. I was pretty excited. Never expected this, so such a super fun surprise.

Rob was on the "Good List" as well - he got a couple video games, and (Karlee's highlight) he got all 4 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. They have both been playing with these most of he day.

Our Christmas Eve

For Christmas Eve we spent the evening with Matt, Monica and their family. They had prepared a super yummy Ham dinner and orange slices. Later we all had lots of fun playing XBox Kinects and watching the kids, Matt and Rob dance to Dance Central (I called "all time" spectator). Rob and Trenton had a fun couple games of Foosball (didn't think to grab my camera until later in the evening).  We played a super fun game - Fruit Ninja.

Fruit Ninja is really a fun game. A game that everyone can play and enjoy. Its a pretty good workout.

Rob and Matt also enjoyed the game. It was pretty entertaining.

Monica gave Karlee a super fun game: Disney Headbanz. This game was a huge hit among the kids last year at New Year's Eve. This game is really cute with the Mickey Mouse Ears.

When we got home we gave Karlee her Christmas Eve present. She was super excited.

Karlee got purple pajamas this year. She loves the color purple.

Rob read us the Christmas Story from the scriptures. Karlee didn't last too far into the story as it was late in the evening.

We had to wake Karlee up to said goodbye to our elf "Cocoa" before he went back to the North Pole for the last time until next year. Bye Bye Cocoa Coconut.

Karlee and I made yummy chocolate chip cookies in the morning so that Santa would have some freshly baked cookies when he came to visit our house.

We had a great Christmas Eve, and we all excited for Christmas morning.
