Kindergarten ZOO Field Trip (2014)

It was time for the Kindergarten ZOO day Field Trip. Karlee was so super excited. A couple things that she was so excited for was that the students got to ride on a 'Real' school bus, Mom was gonna be a chaperon, and she got to pack her own sack lunch from home.

Karlee was excited to pack a lunch. She had a PB&J sandwich, cookies, chips, apple slices, and a ice cold water bottle. Yum!!!

Here are some of Karlee's friends sitting patiently waiting to load onto the school buses.

Karlee got to enjoy the ZOO with a couple of her school friends.
(Dallin, Faith, Bo Daniel, Ellie, Karlee, and Erin)

Lunch time at the ZOO.

We got to see the new Lion's exhibit before it opened. We need to go back when it officially opens so we can get a closer look at these magnificent animals.

Such a great group of Kindergartners!

A Bear Lake Easter

We had a wonderful EASTER up to Bear Lake! It was so nice and relaxing! Karlee and I did some easter egg prep before we left. We tried coloring our eggs with Kool-Aide this year. They turned out pretty good.

At Bearlake we had most of the Weston's (Richard & Melissa, Raul & Kami, Claudia & Maridee) with us. All the kids had fun on an Easter Egg Hunt thanks to Sally.

Karlee with her stash of Easter eggs! She really cleaned up!

Ryley and Me out on our Easter Egg Hunt!

We gathered our Eggs for the Contest for the Ugliest, Prettiest, Most Unique, Fastest, Manliest, Most Festive, Most Girly, Super-est, and Most Nobel.

Karlee won the 'prettiest egg' prize for her egg. Yahoo!!!!

This year we participated in a new game: Easter Egg Jousting. We each entered two eggs into the contest. The names were entered into the tournament bracket and off to the races we went.

These are my two eggs. Triple Threat!!!

It was my turn to Joust Rob's cousin Seth. With or backs together, we each take 3 steps, turn then run and smash our eggs together. The egg that survives wins, and well... my eggs did not fair so well. :)

To end the day of Egg-citment we participated in the traditional Weston Egg roll. Karlee's eggs did AMAZING!!!

The Easter Bunny found Karlee all the way up to Bear Lake. She was one excited little girl.

Now we were off to Easter Sunday!

All the kids in their Easter best!

Pinewood Derby (Rob and Cody)

Rob got asked by his nephew Cody to help him with his Pine Wood Derby car. Rob was super excited, he had ideas running through his head the very minute he was asked. haha.  Cody really had no desire to do much of the car, so Rob had free reign.

Rob worked long and hard on this car and in the end the car did well. No awards to be won, but Cody had a Great time and thats really all that matters!

Comic Con x2 ( I think I'm done!)

 Comic Con April 2014

We attempted it again. We got free tickets from one of our neighbors and off we went to the Salt Lake Comic Con. Whew!!! We met up with Rob's brother David and his wife Amanda.

The Tree Giant from Lord of the Rings
We did wander over to a Lego Exhibit which was pretty cool. It always amazes me what people can do with Legos.

Back to the Future
The Bat Cave

Karlee loved looking at all the Legos.

Superman saving a helpless citizen. :)
Scene from Lord of the Rings
We ended the night with Rob and David getting pics with some guys from Star Wars (I think. haha)

My opinion: You really only need to attend Comic Con one time - we saw nothing different our second time. Probably just my opinion.

Our week with Lincoln and Jordyn

We got really LUCKY!!! My brother and sister-in-law (Troy and Segi) went on a cruise so we got to have Jordyn and Lincoln stay with us for the week! We were all so excited for the week to start.

Just look at how irresistible this little boy is. We love Lincoln!!!

We spent the days at the park, playing games and hanging out.

Rob was home one day from work so he came to the park with us. He is truly a kid magnet.

Karlee and Jordyn wanted a picture with Rob, so a picture they get. :)

Karlee was in heaven having a cousin to play with 24/7. Karlee still had school, so once that was over she was home ready to play, play, play!

Lincoln was worn out by the second park, so I got to hold him as he slept. Lucky Me!!!

Bedtime was fun for all the kids as Rob read them their bedtime stories. Seriously he is a keeper!

This is how the kids slept all week. It worked out perfectly and believe it or not they all went to bed so so good!
