El Salvador Temple

What a special weekend this is for me. On August 21, 2011 the temple in El Salvador was dedicated. This is so special to me becuase this is where I served my mission. I have a GREAT love for the people of El Salvador. I am so excited for all the members there to be able to have a temple in their own country. This weekend I have been thinking of all the people that I was able to meet, and share the gospel to. What a testimony this to me of importance and the blessing temples are to us here in on the earth.

The temple will be the Church’s 135th operating temple in the world. It is the first temple to be built in El Salvador and the fourth to be built in Central America. Church membership in El Salvador during 2010 was 105,500 out of a total population of more than 7 million people.

A small light at the end of the tunnel... UPDATE!!

There may be a light at the end of the tunnel. We had moved out of our townhome the first part of May and have been living with Rob's parents for the summer. All I want to say is that there may be a small light that we can see. I hope to soon be back with a steady connection to the outside world. I have been checking my email and paying my bills online from laptops and extremely slow Internet connection. AHHH!!!!!

So for anyone who has thought that I no longer wrote on our blog... check back later. (weeks).

UPDATE:

Well the excitement was short lived. Our plans didn't work out - a Major bummer!!!! I guess we will continue to save $$ and work towards getting out on our own.

Enjoying Bear Lake with the Frehners

Rob planned a weekend up at the house in Bear Lake and we invited our good friends the Frehners. They have such cute girls (4). They were our neighbors in Washington, and now Nate works with Rob at Clean Harbors. We drove to Logan ate lunch at Rumbi's Grill (yumm-o) and then we went to Willow Park Zoo (just a small neighborhood park). Karlee and I had been before, but this was Rob's first time. We all loved it.

Our 11th Anniversary

Happily Ever After....

Every year I start so late in planning something for our wedding anniversary, and really I don't know why I even worry about it. Rob and I always have so much fun together. This year was kinda fun.... Our anniversary was August 11, 2011 and it was our 11th year married. Luckily Rob had a random day off (weird work schedule) and it just so happened to be on our Anniversary. yay!!! Rob's mom hadn't started school yet so she offered to watch Karlee for us - (yay! Free babysitter). We started our day off with lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. Rob had never been so we hit that first. Then we spent some time walking around the mall. We then hit a couple shows: Captain America and Transformers. We had such a fun day!

Rob is such an amazing guy. We have had an interesting ride, but through it all Rob has kept optimistic and positive. I am so lucky to have him in my life!!!

Raspberry Days 2011

We look forward to Raspberry Days all year long. This year it seemed to have crept up on us. We talked Rob into coming for the whole weekend as his work schedule changed last minute and it looked like he wasn't going to be able to come at all. Our trip up was fun and relaxing. Karlee does so good in the car (what a blessing!) we watched a movie, took a nap, and ate yummy snacks.

Once we got to Garden City (Bear Lake) we got out we took Karlee over to the bounce houses and watched her have lots of fun. After awhile we met up with Rob's mom and she thoughtfully said she would sit an watch Karlee play so Rob and I decided to walked through all the boutiques (not robs favorite part, but he is a super good sport).

Raspberry Days doesn't seem complete without a couple of hours out on the boat. So that's just what we did. Karlee started out on the lake with a tube ride. She had a good time. We are lucky that one she had her life jacket on and two that David (robs' brother) was riding along because Robs dad took the boat a bit too fast and Karlee flipped almost right outside the boat - David caught her.

We each took our turn out on the wake board. Here I am in all my glory. I didn't do near as bad as I thought I would this year. I need to practice a bit more on moving away from the boats wake, so until next year.

Here is Rob, hum ya not the best picture of him, in fact its the only one unfortunately that wasn't blurry.haha. Rob didn't spend too much time on the wake board, but tried the surfboard. He did much better than I did - but then again he should he was way more experience.haha.

The last night up at Bear Lake Rob wanted to go and ride the Go Karts. Karlee and her dad had so much fun. Actually not sure, but I think that Rob had more fun than Karlee.
