Its a Baby Shower!! Tonight I had my very first baby shower. Yes it will be no time at all before we are holding and cuddling with a brand new baby girl. (Just a little over 2 months to go.) My friend Natalie gave me the shower, which was so nice. And so many of my friends were able to come, which was both fun and sad to me. FUN because I love getting together with my friends, but SAD because we are moving so soon. For all those that read this blog post... Thank you for all the wonderful gifts, We have nothing, and this is such a great start. I took all the gifts home and put them on my kitchen table so that when Rob got here (he flies in on Friday Night) he could see what wonderful friends we have. THANKS AGAIN!!!

Blogging
"To you women of today, who are old or young, may I suggest to you that you write, that you keep journals, that you express your thoughts on paper. Writing is a great discipline. It is a tremendous education effort. It will assist you in various ways, and you will bless the lives of many--now and in the years to come, as you put on paper some of your experiences and some of your musings." --President Gordon B. Hinckley

"When our children were very small, I started to write down a few things about what happened every day... The prompting came to me, I'm not giving you these experiences for yourself. Write them down. I recorded those things so that my children could have the memory someday when they would need it. Have I seen the hand of God reaching out to touch us or our children or our family today? I urge you to find ways to recognize God's kindness." --President Henry B. Erying

The UTAH Quarter.

I have been collecting the New Quarters since they have come out, and I get so excited when I find the new quarter that has come out. And Yes yesterday I found the UTAH quarter. I was so excited. I have little books that I keep all my quarters in, and so I got my dollars worth of Utah quarters, and then when I got home I put them in their special place. I was so excited, Yes I know pathetic. I know that I could probably find a schedule that would tell me when the new quarters would be coming out. But I just like the Surprise factor. I don't think that there are enough of those Good little surprises in life that I gladly count New Quarters as one of mine.

Friends & Favorites Cookbook Done!!
A couple weeks ago my good friend Ashely Baker and I were talking about how great it would be if we couple exchange some of our favorite recipes that we have. Not much actually was exicuted at this time, but when I found out that we would be moving to Utah, I really wanted to make this cookbook happen. So we got together and passed the idea around. It has been such a great project. We have had so many wonderful people involved. So many wonderful recipes. We had everyone email me their favorites, and then I compiled them all, printed and bound the book together. They turned out so good. I hope that everyone will enjoy cooking from this book, and trying everyones favorites. Personally the best thing about this cookbook project is that everytime I try a new recipe I will see who submitted it and will be able to think of them as a sweet dear friend. I am truly grateful for all my friends and all the memories made here in Louisville Kentucky. Happy Cooking to all.Saturday, November 24, 2007
Thanksgiving in Georgia

While Rob was working in Utah. I went with Brian and Natalie Evans to Georgia for Thanksgiving. Brian and Natalie have and aunt and uncle that live in Georgia. So Wednesday at the CRACK of dawn we set out for a wonderful Thanksgiving and a much needed and much enjoyed break. We had such a great time. It was hard to be away from my own family during such a special day of Thanks, but I am very blessed to have such wonderful friends that think enough of me to invite me to tag along. It was super fun, and I even made a good friend. Samantha Evans who is Natalie's 7 year old cousin. She was adorable. (and reminded me of my own neice who is also that same age). We did miss out on 'Black Friday' Shopping, but I am sure that Rob is grateful that I didn't go shopping. Only have one more week until Rob comes back. Hooray!!! Only thing is that I now have to buckle down and pack up my house. Yuck!!!

Time to be Thankful !!!

Thanksgiving Time allows us to take time to think of all we are thankful for. As I think about what I am thankful for at this time. I first think of wonderful family and friends. It has been awhile since Rob went out to Utah to start up the business, and Both Rob and I have felt the love and concern of all my wonderful friends and family members. There has not gone a day without a phone call to see how we are doing. Thought I would share 10 Things that I am thankful for this year:
My list of Gratitude for 2007:
1. Rob - Unconditional LOVE, and support
2. Gospel
3. Testimony of Truth
4. Family - Bro & Sis that call on a daily basis

7. Our Safety
8. Our Health - Never having to skip a meal
9. Miracles - Adoption
10. Experiences - My life has been blessed in so many ways.
Some days seem so unbearable, This list has helped to see that yes there are so many things to be thankful for.

November is National Adoption Month
“Children are entitled to the blessing of being reared in a stable family environment where father and mother honor marital vows,” ... “Having a secure, nurturing, and consistent relationship with both a father and a mother is essential to a child’s well-being. When choosing adoption, unwed parents grant their children this most important blessing. Adoption is an unselfish, loving decision that blesses the child, birth parents, and adoptive parents in this life and throughout the eternities. We commend all those who strengthen children and families by promoting adoption.”
In celebration of Adoption. We were invited to a night at Babies R Us, and so I went. It was a pretty low key affair, however they were giving out a prize. A baby highchair, and would you know it. I was the lucky winner. So here is a picture of it. (This is probably the first thing I have ever won)

Gotta Love President Hinckley
After President Hinckley finished with the sustaining of the officers of the church during the Saturday morning session, Elder Eyring had moved into his new seat on the stand. Unfortunately, they didn't show this on TV, but when President Hinckley turned around, he stood there for a moment looking at Elder Eyring (probably with the little twinkle in his eye), then picked up his cane and "knighted" him on his shoulder and head. Truly one of the funniest things I've ever seen him do.
Here's the picture from it. I love how Elder Erying looks just like alittle boy....

OPEN HOUSE - Please Buy My House

So Today was not my typical Saturday morning of running off and working at the Children's Place. I however did get up bright and early to get my house ready for my 1st Open House. I had placed some Open House Signs out in the neighborhood last night and so this morning after cleaning my house. I set off to go and get balloons to bring more attention to my signs, on my way to the grocery to buy the balloons, I noticed that the signs were gone (someone had taken them - I thought What the!?!?!?!)Anyhow I ended up making another stop to wal-mart to buy another sign, then to pick up the balloons. I guess I'll do about anything to sell this house.
I had one nice family come and walk through the house. They seemed to like it. They mentioned how they really liked the how open the house is, and the color scheme. They mentioned that they are getting out of a lease and want to get into a house, and that our house was the price range that they were hoping to find. I know it will probably never happen, however I guess my wish came true. All I have wanted one one person to come and walk through the house so Task Completed! We have had lots of phone calls, just nothing behyond that. Its just a really tough market. Just gotta have faith and trust that everything will go good.
