Student of the Month (January)

Karlee came home and told us that she was selected for Student of the Month for Compassion. We couldn't have been more proud of her. She is such an Amazing girl!!!

100 Days of School Fun!

The 100th day of school is always such a milestone for the 1st grade. Her teacher asked all the students to gather 100 things that they could present to their class, Karlee thought of rocks but lets be honest, I didn't her to haul in 100 rocks. So we came ups with a more creative avenue for displaying 100 things. Karlee had so much fun putting her collection of 100 things together.

Karlee designed and placed each button onto her paper mache letter K. She did an awesome job!!!

At school they did lots of fun things to celebrate the 100th day at school. She came home with some yummy treats and a crown decorated with 100 stickers.

Free Day at Hogle Zoo

Monica and I took the kids to the Free Entry at Hogle Zoo for the afternoon (early out Wednesday). The weather was nice but not nice enough for some of the animals so we missed out on seeing the giraffes, zebras, and other warm weather'd animals.

I enjoy going to the Zoo and being able to walk around and watch animals.

Karlee, Trenton, and Sadie all seemed to have a good time and wanted to take some silly pictures.

As we walked around we took more pictures.

I'm gonna say this is my most favorite picture of the day. Both Karlee and Sadie wanted to kiss the gorilla statue and a picture. Ugh. Silly girls!

These two girls make me laugh!!!

Grizzly Hockey Game Fun

Martin Luther King Jr. Day Hockey Game. We took advantage of no school and a free hockey game.  We did this last year while Kaye, Tyler and Malia were down visiting - can't believe its been a year. Earlier in the day we went to a couple parks and enjoyed some sunshine and a picnic lunch.

Night Out at the Jazz Game

Rob surprised us with a Family Fun night out to watch a JAZZ game in a Suite courtesy of Rob's work. It was so much fun. We rode Trax to the Energy Solutions Arena which Karlee LOVED!!! While we waited for our tickets we took a couple family selfies.

At the game we were treated to dinner and lots of entertainment. Karlee loved being able to people watch as did I. We enjoyed the game

Our view from our Suite. Perfect view!!!

Karlee loved looking all around the JAZZ Bear and all the things going on around the arena.

We had the BEST time and we're all so sad when the evening came to a close.

Build-A-Bear with Grandma

For Christmas this year Karlee got a 'Grandma Coupon' for a trip to Build-a-Bear. Karlee was so super excited for some one-on-one time with her grandma Laurel.

Karlee had the best time, She picked out an Elsa bear that even plays "Let it Go" when you squeeze her little paw. Grandma Laurel and Karlee picked out the Elsa dress, a tiara, a wand and some glass shoes. The bear was darling and Karlee was thrilled with all the time she got to spend with her grandma.

When we got home Karlee put on her new Elsa dress and we took a couple pictures. Karlee and her new Elsa Bear were darling!!!
