Thanksgiving 2012

Thanksgiving this year was great we were invited to spend Thanksgiving with my parents at my Grandma and Grandpa Jenkins home. My parents drove up Tuesday night so Karlee and I drove over to spend a couple hours with then on Wednesday (after Karlee's preschool). Karlee loves her Grandma and Papa - she had so much fun playing at Grandma Jenkins home. Up until Wednesday we thought that Rob was going to have to work right through Thanksgiving, but when he got home Wednesday night he had GREAT news that he was able to get Thursday and Friday off.

At Thanksgiving this year we had Grandma & Grandpa Jenkins, my mom and dad, Marty and Jen (Rachel & Tyler), Wayne and Laura, Wayne's x-wife and their son. We had a great dinner and a great time together. I didn't get my camera out once but thankfully my mom took some fun pictures of the day.

So Thankful for Karlee!
Dinner was AMAZING. There was so many yummy things. We had two turkeys: a Smoked, and a Traditional turkey. My favorite thing about Thanksgiving dinner is the cranberry salad that my mom makes. Its my absolute favorite - Karlee loved the turkey and green salad - Rob loved the smoked turkey and homemade rolls.

Entertainer at heart.
After dinner we enjoyed visiting with everyone in Grandmas family room (I just love this room - so many memories). Rachel entertained us with her singing and playing her guitar and then Karlee wanted in so she danced for everyone.

We headed out early to hit Black Friday sales (ugh). Rob really wanted to hit it this year. I would have been just fine to do without. Nothing that I needed/wanted to get - but we headed out. As we were driving out of the neighborhood, Karlee says "Mom - I sure am gonna miss those guys! I had so much fun! I am especially gonna miss Tyler her was so fun to play with." Isn't that just so sweet!

Karlee's Preschool Thanksgiving Fun

Thanksgiving Pilgrims
Karlee loves her school and its not hard to see why. During the month of November they did such cute things and Karlee learned so much. They made a cute beaded necklace, a picture of a corn on the cob (made with real popcorn-so cute!), a turkey of thanks, and continued to work on reading and writing their letters.

Her teacher always plans such cute fun things for all the kids to do. To celebrate Thanksgiving, they played games, colored pictures, expressed what they were thankful for and had a small Thanksgiving feast.  They got to dress up in super cute costumes and wear them while they ate their yummy feast.

Life without a computer? - It was heaven!!!

The last part of October I opened up my laptop only to hear a loud snap - the hinge on my laptop had broke. The computer itself was fine, just couldn't close it or it would split the base of the computer apart. I wasn't really too happy. Honestly I was sick to my stomach - thinking that it only meant money to be spent on this to get fixed and with the holidays coming - not the best timing. I called Customer Service and was happy to realize that the computer was still under the year warranty. So I sent it off to be repaired. I had to laugh when I realized where it was being sent to be repaired . Outer Loop in Louisville, Kentucky (honestly 10 minutes from our home in Kentucky) too funny!!!  I was without my computer for about a 10 days and honestly - it was so so nice. Not sure I got more done, but I could definitely feel less distraction in my life. I  am not normally on my computer much through out the day (mainly paying bills, updating my blog, checking email) but it sure was nice to be disconnected. Love having my computer back and working again. Lets just hope that now that the warranty is no longer that the computer has no more problems.

Karlee's first Primary Program

This year was Karlee's first time to participate in the our wards primary program. Honestly we didn't know if Karlee would actually go up, because she never wants to go up when the primary sings in sacrament meetings. But to our surprise she did go up. The program was wonderful and she did a great job on her speaking part (this was a group effort - but she knew what to say). The rest of the time up on the stand Karlee was making silly faces.Yep! Rob thought this was so funny and I think he was pretty proud. haha.

This is just one of the silly faces she was making throughout whole program.
