Color Festival in Spanish Fork

We needed a short break after just moving into the house and so we planned a quick trip to Spanish Fork to visit Tom and Hayley and their family. It was the perfect weekend. In Spanish Fork, the Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple was celebrating the start of Spring.

 (Our before picture)

We took this picture of all of us before we started getting colored on. The color is a cornstarch substance. There were just so many people, it was a lot of fun.

(Our after picture)

Here are some close ups of each of us with color all over us.

And here we are on our way out with the temple in the background. What a fun day. It really would be something to do again. Maybe next year . . .  we'll see.

Lots of Easter Fun

We were able to celebrate our Easter this year in our new home, and it was a lot of fun. We colored eggs, went to egg hunts, and did the (Weston) traditional egg roll. This year we celebrated Easter in Spanish Fork and Stansbury Park.

We started our Saturday with a Egg Hunt over at Deseret Peaks. We participated last year and thought we would give it another go. This year it was so fun to watch Karlee getting excited about looking for eggs and prizes.

Karlee and The Easter Bunny!
In the afternoon we headed down to Spanish Fork to visit Tom and Hayley for a little Easter fun and to go to the Festival of Colors. After the Festival of Colors the kids had a fun Easter Egg Hunt, an Egg Roll and we all enjoyed a yummy BBQ.

Rob was keeping his tradition alive with an Easter "Egg Roll". We went across the street from Tom's house and the guys (with the help from the kids) designed and dug out a trench for the eggs to roll down. It was a pretty good course.

Everyone was a winner!!! But for the life of me I can't remember what the prizes were. It was a fun way to celebrate Easter.

Easter Morning we got to wake up in our newl moved in home. Still buried in boxes and stuff. The Easter baskets were filled with yummy treats and treasures. Karlee was super excited to see if the Easter Bunny had come and filled her basket.

She didn't wait long before digging into her Chocolate bunny. Such a yummy breakfast!!!
(Yep I'm Super mom!)

After church Karlee went out into the backyard and looked for more eggs. (Loving out backyard red paver'ed patio. haha)
