Going to Grandmas House

We had a lot of fun these past couple of days. My wonderful friend Louise wanted to throw a shower for Karlee in Page, Arizona, and so Karlee and I drove over to Page on Sunday. We left early enough so that we could go to church there with Grandma and Papa. We had a wonderful couple of days. It is always so fun to go back to the place you spent your whole growing up life. Its so fun (at least for me) to see what is new, and what has changed. It has really been awhile since I was over in Page - because we have lived away for the past 4 years. So Sunday, went to church, relaxed and then dad made us Alaskan Halibit. YUMMY. (Thanks Kaye for living up in Alaska...we love your fish).

If anyones mom is like my mom, after church we Karlee and I couldn't get into our comfy clothes until pictures were taken. So here is Karlee waiting for Grandma's camera. I Love my mom - becuase as much as everyone teases her about the number of pictures she takes, we have so many memories captured, that otherwise probably would not be!

Wonderful Laundry Product

(SA8 Solutions - All Fabric Bleach)

Okay so my sister Monica game me this SA8 Solutions All Fabric Bleach for a baby shower. She has used it for years and loves it. I was wanting something that would help with keeping Karlee's whites WHITE!, with all those formula bottles. So I have to admit that I LOVE IT!!! Just the other day I was in a hurry and washed one of Karlee's green sleepers with Robs clothes and then I was pulling the clothes out of the Dryer, I noticed that the little sleeper was ruined-something in the washer had bled onto the sleeper, staining it. So I thought I would put the SA8 Solutions -All Fabric Bleach to the test, and decided that I would soak it in a bucket over night along with some of her other clothes that looked to be discolored by the formula. Next morning - washed the clothes, and yes the whites were WHITE, but better yet the little green sleeper was good as new, no marks whatsoever. (Only thing is that I wish I would have taken a picture of the green sleeper before while it was ruined) So I am SOLD on the SA8 Solutions All Fabric Bleach. Now I looked online, could find the SA8 Solutions products minus the bleach, but my sister is able to get it thru her business. So just thought I would pass on this wonderful product. I am HOOKED!!!

Easter Weekend 2008

Our Easter has been so much fun. We had Rob's family come down from up North. It was so fun to have them come down. We started our weekend off with the Nashville Tribute to Joseph concert, then my dad's trucks battery was dead, and then the alternator was bad. Luckily Robs dad is a mechanic by profession, so they were able to fix the car for much cheaper and faster than the alternative. My parents were able to get on their way home. For the afternoon we walked to the local Art show that was happening on Main street. There were so many wonderful painting and pictures, but good art is expensive, so needless to say it was a window shop kinda day. We went to a place for lunch called "The DogFather" it was really good, but we were lucky when we got there, because they had sold out of bread just after we had ordered. So they shut the store down when our food was done. Something like 3 pm in the afternoon. Crazy.

(Karlee dress and ready for the St. George Sun)

Later Saturday we went and played miniature golf. I think we probably played 3 games, then the babies were getting tired, so us girls left, and the guys played another 2 games.

(Rob with his family miniature golf at Fiesta Fun)

(My 1st of 3 Hole-In-Ones of the day)

Sunday morning we woke up to filled Easter baskets. Rob's family goes all out for the Easter baskets. The Easter bunny gives lots of fun presents in the baskets. Karlee got a cute Sunday dress, some fun nibble toys, and a Easter bunny stuffed animal.

(Karlee and her Easter Basket)

Rob got lots of chocolaty Easter candy. Of which he was really excited about since he knows he doesn't have to share with me, because I don't eat chocolate. (Thanks to the fact that chocolate gives me migraines - its just not totally worth it) This weekend was super super fun. Its been a long time for Robs family to come down and visit so it really meant a lot. We were both excited to have visitors, and Rob was super super excited to have his family here.

Joseph: A Nashville Tribute to the Prophet

Last night we (Rob, myself, my mom and dad, Robs mom and dad, and his brother) went to Joseph: A Nashville Tribute to the Prophet here at Tuachan. ** Our digital camera was dropped a couple of weeks ago (Thanks Rob) - and we are using one of my dads old cameras. Only problem to this is that I have those stupid rechargeable batteries in it, and well I think they have met their life expectancy - They are now their way to the garbage can. So thus the lack of an actual picture of us at the concert. ** But really back to the concert itself. It was fantastic. I have loved the music ever since I got the CD oh almost 2 years ago. The music is amazing, and the lyric are just so so spectacular. These past 4 years that we have lived in Michigan and then in Kentucky has given us so many wonderful opportunities to go and see the historical church sites. So this music has been a wonderful thing to listen too, but has also been something that has helped me to build my testimony more and more. I would highly recommend going to one of their concerts, if not running out today and buying their CD.

Camping for Spring Break

If there is one thing that I love - that would be camping. Just being outside in nature, and away from all the cauos of normal day life, it would be this - Camping, Love it! So my parents came over to St. George, Utah for their Spring Break. My dad is a High School Spanish teacher, so it was time for a nice break from teaching. We are big Campers in our family, so that is what my parents came over to do. They actually only camped about 15 minutes away from our home, so it made it nice to drive over and visit them.

They had my 5 year old niece with them for the week, which made for so much fun. We had a wonderful 'yummy' dutch oven dinner of potatoes, peach cobbler, green salad, and BBQ spare ribs. So So good. I just love dutch oven cooking. One morning my dad, niece and I went on a nice little hike, while grandma watched Karlee. (who actually slept the whole time - she is such a tough baby.. we are so blessed)

Karlee 6 weeks

Oh how I love our little miracle... Karlee is growing so so fast. I can't believe its already been 6 weeks since we first got her in Tennessee. She is such a good baby. We really are spoiled. She almost sleeps through the night, She falls asleep around 11:00 pm and then starts waking up around 5:00 am for her bottle - so technically speaking if we were going by when Rob goes to bed, and when I get up - Karlee sleeps through the night. lol. There are even a few days when she will sleep in until 7:30 am. These are definitely the days that I wake up and have to walk in and she whats she is up to. We are having so so much fun. She just started smiling this week, and has already mastered melting her dads heart.

We had a wonderful time this weekend catching up with family and friends. We had a baby shower for Karlee this weekend hosted by my sweet grandma. She is such a wonderful women. Thanks for opening your home up for this shower. It was so good to see cousins, and aunts of whom I have not seen in what feels like years. For those who read my blog, thank you so much for coming and for all the wonderful gifts. Karlee will love them and will look very stylish doing so.
