Karlee has had quite the fascination with toothbrushes/toothpaste for quite a long time. So much so that we have to hide our toothpaste - She loves to just eat it. She will go through toothbrush after toothbrush, so of course we also have to hide our personal toothbrushes. The other day as I was going about cleaning the house, I went to find Karlee, who was suspiciously quiet. I found Karlee in our second bathroom washing her daddy's toothbrush. Hummmm...

Me: (trying not to laugh) Karlee - hey we don't play in the toilet.

Karlee: Look mommy, I cleaning brush!
Me: (now laughing) Oh ya I can see that, Your dad is going to really appreciate that.
Karlee: I helping.
Me: Yep you sure are.

Karlee Update - 2 1/2 years old

Karlee is now 2 1/2 years old. She is one fun little girl. I love when these milestones come around and we get to take record all that's going on. Its been 4 months since our move and I think that she is still adjusting to all the changes. I know that I am. hahaha

**unofficial Stats** & daily life.

• weight: approx 26lbs (*unofficial - bathroom sale*)
• height: 37.5 inches (*also very unofficial - fabric measuring tape*)
• Size: wears a 2T-3T shirt, and 24-2T shorts/pant (so darn skinny)
• goes to bed around 9pm (thanks to daddy's schedule)
• wakes up around 9:30-10:00am.
• Starting to say her nightly prayers (with help ofcourse)
• Loves, loves to wear sandals, usually on the wrong feet until we remind her to correct them.
• Movies that she can watch over, over and over are: Barnyard, Toy Story, Toy Story 2, Chipmunks the squeakquel.
• Not really the best eater yet, however she does love pretzels, apples, noodles, chicken, and strawberries.
• Still loves Elmo, and has now added Buzz Lightyear, a Dog (My Pal - leap frog toy), and her baby doll to her little friends she plays with daily.
• Playing outside is wonderful, she loves swinging, jumping on trampolines, and going down slides.
• Loves books, some fav's are: Bubbles, bubbles; Abby's First book of Shapes; Cookie's First Book of Numbers.
• A song we sing almost daily is: Me and My Friend (Leap frog: My Pal) - post it later.

10 yrs of memories

We celebrated our 10th year wedding anniversary on August 11th. Hooray for us!!! In documenting this milestone for us. I pulled out our wedding book, and scanned a couple pictures of our engagement and my bridals. Kinda fun to look back at these pictures. I laughed while I was scanning the pictures because everything is so digital and I thought I had all our pictures on our computer. These pictures were really fun to reminice. Its funny to see how young we look. I guess we haven't changed too drastically, just that unwanted 10 lbs that I can't seem to get rid of. hahaha. I am so glad that I met Rob, that he asked me to marry him, and that we were married in the temple. What an amazing 10 years we have had. I love you Rob!

Bridals

To help celebrate our 10 years of marriage, I wrote down as many memories that I could think of that we have shared together. I typed them all up on little strips of paper and then wrapped them around a yummy piece of chocolate. I had to much fun writing them all down, often time laughing out loud. Rob takes a couple chocolate memories in his lunch, he has told me that he has loved reading the little memories, and has enjoyed all the laughs these memories bring.

Raspberry Days 2010

I guess you could call it a tradition now. Every first weekend in August we go to Bear Lake for Raspberry Days. This year was no different, however Karlee and I decided to head up a little earlier. We left Rob at work and headed up on Tuesday with Grandma Weston, Holly (robs sister) and her two cute boys. On our way up we hit a really fun little zoo in Logan.

Willow Park Zoo is a small park zoo, but I would say it is definitely worth the stop, if you are ever in Logan. The admission is very minimal, adults $1.00 and children (under 12) $0.50. This small zoo has the beautiful grounds, big shady green trees, and I will add that the grounds a very clean. I read that the zoo is home to a variety of animals, from lemurs to elk to bobcats, including one of the best collections of birds in the region, with more than 100 species (including wild avians who nest here).

We headed up to Bear Lake and enjoyed the quiet and solitude of the area. Sadly I took only two pictures that even turned out of the week and weekend. (don't ya just hate that!) So here were the highlights of the week/weekend. Karlee got to play with her two cousins Cody and Bo Daniel. They had a blast together. She loves to spend time with them.

Once Grandpa Weston got there it was time for Lawnmower rides. Grandpa Weston hooked up the little red wagon to the riding lawnmower and took the kids on rides around the house. These kids had hit the jackpot and were in Heaven!

Our normal Raspberry days activities were somewhat minimal - not sure why exactly, but none the less we all had a wonderful relaxing time. Rob went golfing with his dad twice up to Montpelier, ID (just 20 minutes away). All the girls hit the Miss Berry Pageant, the craft boutiques, and enjoyed a very delicious Raspberry shake at Lakeside Pizza in Garden City, UT.

We are looking forward to next year and all the memories that we will make.

Mt. Timpenogas - Our 2nd attempt.

Just got back from our family reunion and my dad and I hit the trails. We went back to Mt Timpenogas for our 2nd attempt to reach the top. We hiked Mt Timpenogas the end of June, but hit snow on the trail and didn't want to hike through it. So we once again got up early, drove to the Timpooneke trail head. My dad starts another year of teaching this week so this was his last hooray before the start of school.

The trail looked so different from our first attempt. All the plants and vegetation had grown out of control. The flowers were amazing - however so were the mosquito's (ugh!) There were times that I was being swarmed by 10 annoying little buggers. It however did not take away the beautiful of all trail.

We made it to the top and WOW was the view impressive. We made the summit in about 5 hours, ate our lunch and just enjoyed the view. While we were eating our lunch we had some very aggressive and obnoxious visitors (chipmunks). These little guys would come right up to your bag, and start digging for something. Ugh!

We did have some amazing visitors to watch mountain goats! They were amazing. Their balance fascinated me. They were on ledges so narrow, yet would be able to balance and even jump to another part of the rock.

We headed down by way of Emeraled Lake, which was only about 30 minutes out of the way. On our way over to the lake we hiked over snow, and were also able to see about 12-15 more mountain goats up on the wall of the moutain. AMAZING! Its just amazing to me that in the month of August there is still snow on the trail. There were parts of the trail that you could hear running water underneath your feet. CRAZY!!!

Some of the trail was flat, flat and other parts of the trail was nothing but rocks. Which made for some interesting and yet not so graceful moments. hahaha. Thanks to our hiking poles we were able to make it without any major tumbles. Honestly can say that I would never hike without hiking poles again. They are so nice to have and to help keep you on both feet. hahaha.

We had a great 2nd attempt. We finished the hike in 8 hours over all. Which is pretty good timing. It was such a beautiful day for a hike. I am so glad that my dad wanted to go and try it again. I can't wait until next year. Thanks to my mom for watching Karlee. I hope she had fun, I know Karlee did. Karlee loves her grandma, and every moment she gets time with her. We miss not living close to my parents as when we lived in St. George. We cherrish more than ever the time with get to see them, and spend time with them. Again thanks to my dad for a wonderful hike!

Family Reunion 2010 at Bear Lake

We had a great time this year, we changed locations this year from our traditional Cedar Mountain camping to staying at Rob's family's house up at Bear Lake. We all had such a fun time. There was so much for everyone to do, and lots of space for everyone (which is nice when you have 20 people in one house. This year was my brother Troy and his family's turn to plan the reunion, they did a fantastic job. They gave out meal assignments, planned activities for all the kids, and for everyone to participate in. We had everyone there except my sister Kaye and her family, who live in Alaska. We really missed them and their cute kids.

Some of the highlights were:

The swimming pool. Rob's parents bought a pool a couple years ago so we set that up and the kids were in heaven. The pool was just outside the house, so the kids were in and out of it several times a day.

The water was so fun, but really cold!

The boat. My brother Tom brought up his family's boat and took everyone that wanted out for tube rides. There were great memories made there with lots of people flipping out of the tube, and enjoying the water.

Bear Lake. We spent a day at the lake, and the kids enjoyed all that the lake had to offer. The water was warm and enjoyable. Its fun to watch how entertained the kids were at the lake, building with mud, burying each other in the sand, and just playing in the water.

The Oregon Trail Museum. Segi (my sister-in-law) got a great deal for the whole family to go and experience the oregon trail. What a fun time this was. The tour was so interactive, and informative. I just love Pioneer history!

Family Talent Show. This was a lot of fun, and the weather was once again beautiful! We all performed a talent out on the back deck. We have such a talented family. Rob and I did a SNL Skit. We dressed up as Utah cheerleaders and performed our amazing talent. hahaha. It should be noted that my brother Tom is probably one of the biggest Utah fans we know, and for this reason we wanted to have a little fun with him.
