Whats Karlee doing these days...

Here are some things that Karlee has been doing these past few days, and weeks:

.

This picture is really killing me. Look at this MESS!!!

Playing with her toys. She really is getting into playing and using her immagination. This picture is after playing with her cousins. Karlee is actually quite a clean player, when she is done with a toy she will usually pick up the toy and put it away.

Karlee is loving this show. Which has been a nice break from SB (SpongeBob - Honestly one can only take so much) However she is not a kid that can sit and watch an entire movie without getting distracted, which doesn't bother me.

(No picture)

Karlee loves books. She has so many cute ones, that I don't mind reading them over and over to her. She has a special place she likes to read her books. In her room, on the chair in the corner.

Nasty Computer Virus

After our recent move we got our computer connected to the World Wide Web, and contracted a nasty virus. So we had to take our computer in to get fixed, after $100.00 later our computer is up and running - and GREAT news is that we didn't lose anything important. Grrrrrrr!!! to those people that make these viruses. Shame, Shame! The guy we took our computer to get fixed said that it was a pretty nasty virus. This virus attacked our computer from 'pop ups'. You know those nasty, annoying pop ups (such as advertisements). He said the best thing to do with 'pop ups' is to first set your 'pop up' blocker to a high setting. Second thing to do is - DO NOT close the pop ups, you should close out the internet, leaving the pop up on your screen, then turn your computer completely off. Let your computer reboot itself. A little inconvient yes, however if it will save your computer from this Nasty virus, I say its well worth your time.
.
It is nice to get connected back to the virtual world and getting updated with everyone. I guess I better get busy posting all thats been happening this past month...

Our first Drive-In Movie

Rob, Karlee and I all went on a family Date Night. We went to a Drive-In Movie, a double feature. We watched The A-Team and Date Night. I had never been to a drive-in and did't exactly know what to expect. We brought our microwaved popcorn, and a few treats from home, a couple blankets and we were set. The movies didn't start until 9:30pm - which should be pretty funny to those who know me, to think that I would attempt such an idea. I am known for not finishing a 7:00pm movie without falling asleep. I was determined to stay awake for this first time experience. Karlee didn't get it at first as to why we were just sitting in a parked truck, staring at a big outdoor movie screen. With it being so late she quickly fell asleep, and really was such a good movie date, she slept the entire time. We stayed for both movies we didn't get home until 1:30am. I stayed awake through the first movie, and much of the second. It really was a fun time. I think that we will definately do it again. One thing that I will remember for the next time and would suggest to anyone going to a drive-in movie - Clean your car/truck windshield. We didn't and so we watched both movies through a dirty, smashed dead bug windshield. ha ha ha.

Here are some photos of the night.

Karlee and Mom just before the movies began.

How can you not just love these two smiles!

This is how Karlee spent the night.

Thomas H. Worthen Family Reunion

Karlee and I were able to attend the Thomas H. Worthen reunion (my Great Great Grandfather) in Moab this year. We went down on Wednesday with my sister Monica and her kids - what an adventure was that... my sister pulled her camping trailer for the first time, and she did an amazing job. She pulled that thing like a pro. Most of our family was there with us, which made for many wonderful memories. We had a great time. It has been 10 years since I have been to Moab (went with Rob and my sister Kaye for spring break when Rob and I were dating), so I was really excited to go back. I have to say that its still probably one of the most amazing places to visit. Many of the memories of 10 years ago came rushing back, which gave me some enjoyable laughs. We missed Rob, but since he had basically just started his job, he wasn't going to ask for any time off so soon.

Enjoying the Double Arches.

Our little family enjoying the Delicate Arch from afar.
While we were there we enjoyed taking a couple short hikes to the arches; double arches, landscape arch, and delicate arch. So many places in Moab are so easy for kids to enjoy, I can't wait to come back with Rob and Karlee for another fun vacation. My brother Tom and I went down the Colorado River one afternoon, and really had a good time.

Karlee enjoying the arches, finding a good hiding spot.
My brother Tom and I before the river.

In the evenings we spent alot of time with family and extended family. Playing games, eating dinner, showing off our talents, and listening to stories about my Great Grandparents Thomas and Lillie Worthen.

Desertpeaks Stampede Rodeo

We went to our first rodeo of the summer, 'The Desertpeaks Stampede' with Rob's family. We had a really good time. It was still pretty cold of a night (for June), but we came prepared with jackets, and coats. We thought it was a pretty good rodeo, all the bulls and bull riders were really fun to watch. They had it all roping, barrels, and of course the mutten busten, which is always fun to watch, however nothing I would ever let Karlee try. No thank you!
Rob and Karlee up walking around. What a GREAT dad!
Karlee actually had a hard time staying focused on the rodeo - not surprising for a 2 year old, so she hung out with daddy all night. They pretty much walked the rodeo grounds about 100 times (maybe not that many, but quite a bit). Not sure how much of the rodeo Rob was able to catch, but I don't think he minded much, as he loves every minute he gets with his baby girl. And when Karlee is with her dad, she gets almost anything she wants - So really who can blame her.

Look at this face! Unbelieveable! But oh So Happy!

Memorial Day 2010 - Emery County

Family!

Memorial day this year was really quite special. Karlee and I tagged along with my sister and her kids to Emery County to visit our Aunts. We had a really good time. We met up with them at the Ferron Cemetery to visit our grandparents (my dad's parents) grave sites. I don't know what it is, but I just love to go to cemeteries. They are such a place of peace and beauty for me. When growing up I can remember my mom telling me that very same thing, that cemeteries were a peaceful place for her. I guess that must be where I get it. Not sure I would enjoy it as much if I ended up there after the sun went down. ha ha ha.

My grandparents grave stone.
.
After walking around the cemetery looking at all our extended families grave sites, and then headed to Uncle Carl's farm. What kid doesn't enjoy a good farm with all the animals. Well I guess just my Karlee, she didn't want to touch anything, let alone go and see any animals. She didn't want to get down and walk, which made me flashback to my childhood. While I think I enjoyed looking at the animals, I also remember not wanting to get dirty, thus farms were not where I to be. While at my aunts home, she fixed up a wonderful BBQ lunch for all of us. It was so nice to be able to spend time visiting with our aunts and cousins.

Karlee and cousin Sadie

After lunch we stayed a bit longer to visit, which led to some mischievousness: Karlee and her cousin Sadie got a little more comfortable with my aunts dog. They had started to play with, and eating the dogs food. (so totally gross!) After telling both of them to get away from the dogs food, this is what we found: Both Sadie and Karlee bathing themselves in the dogs water. Sadie was helping Karlee, by pouring the dogs water onto Karlee's hair and then matting it down. LOVELY! - It was so GROSS!

Just after telling these girls to stop playing in the dogs water.
