Why Robs doesn't like Sidewalk Chalk

Here is the story of Why Rob doesn't like Sidewalk Chalk. . . Rob starts his day super super early. He is out the door at 5:30 a.m. On this particular day everything was starting off normal. I will usually get up with him, and talk to him for a couple of minutes before he leaves for the day. (I actually look forward to these 10 minutes in the morning). We talked for a few minutes, and then it was time for Rob to head out to work, so I went downstairs back to bed for another hour or so. I just got back into bed when I heard Rob back in the house - laughing out loud - but he wasn't laughing, he was crying. So I ran up to see what had happened. Well as Rob was walking out to get into his truck, he stepped on some outdoor sidewalk chalk and rolled his ankle. I thought well okay so get back up and get to work. haha. Well that wasn't the compassion Rob wanted at the time. Sorry! He had to call into work and tell them he wasn't going to be making it. He elevated his ankle much of the morning. Until he lowered it, and lets just say that his ankle swelled 3x the original size. WOW. So we headed to the insta-care. Luckily the x-rays showed no break and just a severe sprain. We of course took pictures to document this monumental occasion.

Enjoy all these pictures:
Rob couldn't even walk on it - we had to get him into a wheelchair.
Karlee was so good and patient - what a trooper.
Karlee wanted me to add this on the post, so here it is. I was helping Karlee take the picture.
Here is the ankle after the swelling has gone down,

Close ups about 10 days later.

Rob was out of work for 3 full days. He was on limited work for the following 2 weeks. Thank goodness we have good insurance, we only had to pay out of pocket $35 (including the office visit).

Watching Sydney

This past week, Karlee and I have had so much fun. We got to go to Spanish Fork and play with Sydney. My brother Tom and his wife Hayley surprised their 3 oldest kids with a week at Disneyland, Sydney is their baby (who just turned 1yrs old). And they didn't think that toting Sydney along would be that much fun for her, so they called us a couple weeks ago and had asked if Karlee and I would like to take care of Sydney. Karlee and I jumped at the chance to go!

We had so much fun with Sydney. Karlee wasn't really sure what to think for the first day and a little bit of jealousy set in. I got to see what life will be like when we get to add another member to our family. Actually is was a whole lot of fun, and Sydney and Karlee became really cute friends.

Syndey and Karlee playing on and around the slide in the backyard.

Rob had a 3-day weekend and came down to share it with us. We loved having him there with us. Both Karlee and Sydney thought he was pretty amazing. He would play with them in the house and then we went outside for some fresh air.

Happy Girls!

***As for a BONUS *** my other brother Troy lives in Spanish Fork and so Karlee got to play with her two cousins Jordyn, and Alyia. They got to play a little while each day we were there, and on Saturday the two girls got to come to Sydneys house and play while their mom, dad, and brothers went and watched their uncle play football. So we had so much fun.

So Thanks to Tom, Hayley and their family for taking a trip to Disneyland so that Karlee and I could come down and play with Sydney for a few days. We had a BLAST!!!

Freezer Fiasco - Joining the Club!

We have joined the club. Our freezer somehow lost power and we didn't notice within time to save anything. So we had to throw it all out. It was really disappointing to throw out $300 worth of stuff out in the garbage.
