Memorial Day Family Fun

We had fun relaxing Memorial Day weekend. We were lucky because Rob had the whole 3 day off. Yay!!! We did a few projects around the house and then we headed out for some family fun.

We got the Pass of All Passes again this year and so we headed to Planet Play. This was our first time here and had a fun time. We played Mini Golf, Mini Bowling, and road the Go-Karts. It was a fun day and we had so much fun being together.

Welcome Summer! - First Drive-In of the year

We love Summer time and the warm weather that comes with it. One thing that we all look forward to is hitting the local Drive-In. We love to bring our own snacks from home, being able to talk to each other during the movie (okay maybe that might just be Karlee and I), and we love that we get to watch 2 movies back to back. - Actually I usually can't even stay awake through the 1st movie but Rob loves the 2 movie feature.

The kids loved the air mattress that we put in the back of our truck.

Rob and I waiting for the sun to go down so the movies could start.

And at the end of the night this was us... ASLEEP!!! (Monica captured us in all our glory) Rob was a little bugged at himself for falling asleep through that last movie. haha. I on the other hand was cold and I never can stay awake through a movie anyway. ☺

Just as the movies were over and all the cars were driving away.
As for the rest of the summer Rob said we will be prepared with yummy snacks and drinks to help us stay awake.  Hooray for the Summer!!!!

Karlee's Preschool Graduation

Karlee had a fun Preschool Graduation. It was a Luau themed graduation, with grass skirts & hair flowers, Island hats for the boys and flower lays for everyone.

All the kiddos dancing to a luau song.

Karlee and classmates singing and signing lots of cute songs.

We have really loved having Karlee in Preschool and she has learned so so much. She really has grown up. What a super fast year this has been.

Karlee and a SUPER proud dad!!!
The program ended quickly and we were unable to get pictures with some of Karlee's friends, but we did get a couple. Karlee is such an out going little girl and has such a big heart. We got a picture with Cooper and Hobbs.

Last Day of Preschool - So Sad!!!

Teacher: Miss Lindsay Park and Karlee
The school year has come to and end. We are so excited for all the Summer fun, but we are going to miss Miss. Lindsay and preschool terribly. Karlee had so so much fun at school. Karlee LOVED Miss Lindsay and all her fun school friends.

We put a little 'Thanks You' (with some of Karlee's favorite treats) for Karlee to give to Miss. Lindsay.

The little note says: Miss Lindsay, Love you to Pieces! Thanks for teaching me so much this year. - Love Karlee.

Liberty Park and Temple Square

Karlee and I got invited by Monica and her kids for an afternoon of fun. We went to Liberty park and the kids had so much fun. Liberty park has quite a big playground, not to mention its a really big park with so so much to do. We stuck to the playground and lots of fun.

Temple Square

Then we were off to Temple Square... where Monica ('supermom') had made up a cute little flower scavenger hunt for the kids. They got to find lots of colorful flowers, count flower petals, and find different types of tulips (my favorite).

Cute kids!!!!

Karlee had a fun time finding all the flowers, but got a bit tired so I got my workout in for the day when I had to carry her around Temple Square. Lucky Me!!! Its okay I LOVE this girl.

Monica is so good at capturing the beauty of flowers. cool picture.

We had a wonderful time at Temple Square, it was so fun to walk around and look at all the Spring flowers.

A Special Mother's Day

What a special special day.... Mother's Day 2013.

Rob and Karlee surprised me a delicious breakfast - so big that we actually all shared this. It was super yummy!!! Karlee was so sweet and excited to celebrate. ☺

This was a super special Mother's day because we invited my wonderful grandma and grandpa for dinner. We had my sister Monica and her family over for dinner too.

Monica, Grandma Carole, and Me
Rob made a delicious chicken kabob dinner. It was fabulous. We love BBQ!

Karlee made Grandma a Mother's Day card. When she gave her the card, Karlee asked Grandma if she loved her card and if she would keep it forever. Grandma said that she would and Karlee was thrilled.!!!!

I made a Oreo cheesecake dessert for this special day. I had seen it early on in the week, and knew everyone would love something Chocolate to eat. It was a big hit.

We took a few pictures before my grandparents returned home. These kids love their grandma Jenkins. We are so lucky to have Grandpa and Grandma Jenkins in our family. We love them so very much!

My grandma Jenkins so so very special to me. I have so many special memories with this wonderful woman.

PreSchool Zoo Fieldtrip

Karlee has LOVED preschool, and as the school year is coming quickly to an end we were excited when her preschool class had a field-trip!!!! We went up to the Zoo with a cute school mate Hobbs and his mom. We had such a fun day.

At the Hogle Zoo this summer they have a Lego exhibit all around the Zoo by all the animals. Right at the entrance they have a tent filled with super large Legos. All the kids had fun creating with these. Karlee made a tower!!!

My little Builder!!!
Here is one of the Lego exhibits - Penguins!!!

The day was a bit colder than we had hoped, in fact we even got snow flurries while we walked the zoo. Good thing Roslyn reminded us to pack our winter coats and she saved us all with her red wagon!!!!

We were on a Zoo scavenger hunt so we got to see lots of beautiful animals. Many of the animals were out and about in their habitats.

Karlee had a good time, she was a good sport and enjoyed being able to spend some quality time with her cute friend Hobbs.

Look Mom!!! I'm inside a Lion's mouth!
