Okay so I never thought that I would do something like this. . . but I guess desperate times call for desperate measures. . . I heard on the radio while I was out on my morning walk/run about a week ago that you can get $50 a week just by giving plasma. So I remembered the phone #, called it and made my appointment: 6:45 in the morning. First had to do a simple physical, and then I was ready to donate. The whole process was super painless. It was just like giving blood. I was there about 2 hours (1 hour doing the physical -1st timers only and then 1 hour to donate the plasma). I made a quick $25 bucks, and helped save a life. (just another way to look at it) They say you can make $50 a week, cause you can go and donate 2x a week. I have my next appointment scheduled and looking forward to it. You can make an extra $10 if you refer someone else, so I am gonna refer Rob and then we'll make an extra $10 the next time I go. Anyhow... I just thought I would post this for documentation sake. Ya'll are probably reading this and thinking that I have completely hit rock bottom huh. Well hopefully this has at least given ya'll a good laugh.

Anyhow - $50 adds up quick.
I go to, just so you know they have a weird system. You only get $20 the first time you go and $30 the 2nd. I have no idea why they set it up that way, but I do like the $50 a week, it totally helps out and it really is painless, plus when your baby gets older they have FREE daycare! My kids LOVE to go to their daycare, everyone is WAY NICE!! I go on Wed and Fri maybe I'll see you there sometime!
Hey maybe you will help save a life. Someone who needs it will be grateful to that anonymous person that took time out of their schedule to donate plasma. It will be worth more to them than the 20 or 30 that you get. :)

Been there...done that! Gotta love donating plasma for money huh? However...I always feel good about myself after having gone and donating. It's not so much about the money, but the fact that you're helping someone out. I like to donate blood, even when there's not a plasma center around to donate to.
