Yesterday we marked a milestone, that well, we are not excited about. Our precious little Karlee had been taking her morning nap, and had climbed out of her crib. Poor Karlee! She was on her back just screaming, it just broke our hearts. What a horrible feeling! After checking to see if she was okay and calming her down. We moved the mattress on her crib down. Yes Karlee is okay! Thank goodness. I know I know many of you experienced parents out there would have already moved the mattress down. I guess I just didn't think she could pull herself up, she hasn't pulled herself up to anything that I have seen around the house. Poor Karlee. Poor Karlee. Rob was pretty shocked too! The rest of the day she didn't even like to pass her room. Thus no afternoon nap. When it came to bedtime, this girl was exhausted as you can imagine. However she was still a little traumatized about the event, and wanted nothing to do with her crib. Can't say that I blamed her. We had the port-a-crib up as a backup plan. Karlee and I just relaxed a bit, and when she could go no longer I took her in and put her in her crib. She seemed to be just fine. She has been fine ever since. What a milestone to have to reached, I was kinda hoping that we wouldn't have to experience this one. Oh well... Karlee is doing good and that's all that matters. She is such a precious baby, and we are so blessed to have her in our lives.

Oh no! Of course she would pull herself up for the first time in her crib...what luck. Glad she's okay.
Don't feel bad!! Delia "fell" out of her crib a couple of times until I permanantly raised the bar on her crib. The first time she fell, I was not surprised because I had seen her pull herself up a couple of times. But, nooo, I didn't learn my lesson the first time! Poor Delia fell out 3 times before I just kept the side up for good. I kept forgetting to put it up for her naps. I was hard to just leave it up becuase I couldn't get er out. The bumber was tied to the bars so I couln't move it up and down, it was one way or the other. and of course I didn't want to moved the mattress down..too much work (I am so horrible I still feel guilty about it. It took 3 falls for me to keep the bar up and bust my ribs getting her out every time, but full well knowing she was going to fall out was too much to take and up it stayed. I got used to it...but sometimes we make mistakes way too many times before we learn from them and unfortuately delia had to pay the price :( It is a scary thing!! I'm glad she's okay. They just grow up so much faster then we think.
The milestones are fun! But it is scary when they fall out of their crib. Alyssa never did but Avery fell out at 5 months. That was awful for us!
Okay, so I was telling Cory about Karlee falling out of her crib, and sorry, but we were laughing because Cody has fallen out like a 100 time, but then Cody jumped off the couch, and now he is LIMPING all over the house! He won't put any pressure on his foot! So, I guess we're headed to the doctor later today to make sure his foots not broken! Yeah. I'm a pretty great mom! I'm glad Karlee is okay! We love that little stinker bum!
Poor little Karlee! It happens to them all. I have always said it takes things like that to make them learn the hard way:(
scary....I am glad she is okay!
Yea - live and learn right. My kids all did it - and they've turned out fine, well sorta.
