Growing Up!

A couple of weeks ago Karlee figured out how to climb in and out of her crib. She was so pleased with herself, and really it was pretty entertaining to watch her. She was growing up right before my very eyes. Its bittersweet is the only way I can express it. Karlee did a pretty good job getting in and out of her crib, however I figured it was about time to get her into a big girl bed.

I had found a bed on KSL awhile back and it had taken up permanent residence in our garage. So I pulled it out, sanded it, painted it - white, and then tada it was done. Isn't it just the most perfect little girls bed. Karlee was so excited when I told her that this was her new "big girl" bed. She climbed up onto it, laid down and then said, "Go, Go away, Karlee go sleep right now" (I should note that I put her bed together around 4pm.hahaha)

Now the only downside to the new bed, is that before, when Karlee was in her crib, she would sleep until 9:30ish in the morning. That has ended. . . Karlee is now blessing us with her little charming self at 5:30-6:00 am. hahaha. Upside to this is that the majority of our early mornings are cheerful, and happy. She does catch a little nap sometimes during the day, or just plain crashes when its bedtime. And for the record, there has only been 1 night when she came out after we had tucked her in for the night.
