Karlee and I took a super fun trip down to Page to spend sometime with my parents (Rob had to work). It had been almost a year and a half since we had been there - way too long for me! We are so lucky to get to visit my parents many times throughout the year as they travel up to Utah for family functions, but there just is something about going to Grandma and Papa's house. I was a pretty good drive about a 7 hour drive and Karlee did amazing! We choose our trip because it was my mom's birthday and the Presidents Day so my dad had Monday off of work. It was so so much fun!

My mom and I took Karlee down to see the Glen Canyon Dam so that she could walk across the bridge. Karlee loved it, thought she might be a bit scared of heights but she did great! Loved looking down into the Colorado River.

We spent alot of time enjoying Grandma and Papa. Karlee played games, read books, and snuggled with both of them. They played lots of games - when I say lots of games, I think Karlee played almost every game that my mom has and um ... thats a lot of games (probably 20+ kid games).

We went to the park three times. The first two times we would get to the park we would be there only five minutes and Karlee would realize that she had to go to the bathroom. So we would leave and go home. The last time we pretty much counted on our playground experience to be the same, but Karlee surprised us and we were able to stay and play on most all the playground equipment. Karlee loved the playgrounds - but she said the best part was when Grandma and Papa came and played.

If there was one part that was Karlee's favorite that would be the swings. Karlee had so much fun. She just started to get the hang of them and was getting pretty good. I love these swings! These swings are the same swings when I was in elementary school. Still can't believe the school has kept them.

Saturday was my mom's birthday. Karlee and her celebrated with a tea party out on the deck in 70ยบ weather. Love it! My mom had pulled out our old tea sets from Mexico - they were just perfect. Karlee was in heaven, she was so cute, and so imaginative. What a fun time she had - inface she spent the remainder of our time having tea parties with Grandma and even Papa got invited to join.

Sunday was very relaxing, and we enjoy time together as a family. We took our traditional ''After church'' picture that my mom is always so insistant. Too bad I didn't take a picture with both my parents. ugh. I will do my best to rememeber next time.

My dad and I ended our trip with a hike to . . . Thousand Pockets. This place was awesome! So much so that it will get its own post!
