Utah Fire Museum field trip

During the summer there is a group that gets together and does field trips for the kids. This was our first field trip of the summer. It was at the Utah Fire Museum over by Deseret Peaks just outside of Tooele. This place was really fun and had so much information.

Just love to see these older trucks

There was a retired firefighter who gave an amazing tour. It was really interesting. Something that was interesting was why there are lime green fire trucks and why there are red fire trucks. Years ago the government required every fire truck to be painted lime green. The ideas was that they would be easier for the public to see the trucks. There were a few city and states that changed the color of their trucks in compliance. Shortly after this change there were fire fighters getting physically sick. So they changed the color back to red.

It was a lot of fun to have the cousins together to go on the field trip. This was a fun way to start all the fun with Kaye and her kids.
