In Kindergarten they celebrate Native American Day the week before Thanksgiving. Its kind of a BIG DEAL. All the Kindergarten classes, both morning and afternoon, come at the same time and enjoy a couple hours of games, crafts and a yummy Thanksgiving Feast.
They play games: Tug-O-War, a Fishing game, a Dart throwing game.
Prior to the "BIG" day the kids got to make and decorate Paper bag Vests. They were pretty cute and the kids had fun decorating them.
Then there was the Native American Thanksgiving Feast. Karlee loved this part and for the most part did a pretty good job trying most things on her plate.
Here is the plate: jerky, Swedish fish, corn chips, popcorn, dried fruit, goldfish, and pretzels.
This was a fun day! I'm glad that I was able to come in and help volunteer some of my time. Karlee had a super fun day.
