Weekend Getaway to St. George

We went down to St. George for the weekend with Rob on a business trip. So Rob got to work while Karlee and I got to play. We were all so excited to be back down in St. George. We have missed living down there so much with everything so close and the beautiful warmer weather. We drove down Friday, checked into our hotel and then enjoyed a delicious Hibachi dinner with Rob's co-workers, then it was back to the hotel for the night. Karlee loved every minute of it.

On Saturday, while Rob worked, Karlee and I played, hiked, and shopped (mostly window shopped). Karlee really wanted to do some "hiking", we went and she really surprised me with how far and how long she wanted to go.

She loved crawling in and out of all the little caves. She climbed all over, up and down the rocks, and all in her flip-flops.

Love this picture (below) of the two of us... Karlee independently put her hands in the shape of a heart. When I asked what she was doing, she said "Mom I just want the picture to show how much I love you!" Now isn't that just so sweet.

After hiking the red rocks Karlee wanted to go and see the temple. We drove down and walked around some of the grounds. This temple is honestly one of my favorites. I love the architecture, the white color and all the grass that surrounds the temple. Karlee wanted some pictures at the temple steps - love these.

Karlee said she wanted to go inside one day, and that just made me smile.

We got a lot done before lunch time, but us girls had to eat so we agreed to hit one of our favorite sandwich places - Jimmy Johns. It was so good, and Karlee had quite the appetite.

As I mentioned early, Karlee loved being at the hotel, so we went back to relax. We weren't there too long, before Rob got done with work, and he was back. He took Karlee down to the pool and they swam for probably 2 hours. They looked like they were having fun.

Before we left for home Karlee begged to take her dad "hiking" up on the Red Rocks. This time we attempted the big BIG rock.

Karlee has the best time with her dad. He really brings out all the crazy in her little personality!

Karlee loves her dad and requested many pictures with him.

We got Karlee to take a picture of the two of us and she did a pretty good job. We love St. George and hated to have the weekend end.

Until Next Time!!!!

Our Super Strong Man! haha
