I had an amazing hike with my dad up Mt. Timpanogos. It was so much fun. We woke up early to get a good start. We hiked up the Timpooneke trail. The trail was very well maintained and in my honest opinion was quite easy. (The only thing that I really have to compare it to is hiking the Grand Canyon, and well, ya it was a walk in the park. ha ha ha.)

The trail was beautiful, lots of green trees, and lots of running water on and off the trail. This was my first time hiking Mt. Timpanogos and my dad's second. I can't say enough how beautiful of a place this is. We thought going the end of June the trail would be fine, and that we would be able to reach the summit, however we ran into packed snow on the trail. So we opted out of trying to summit the mountain, because basically neither of us wanted to get wet. ha ha ha.

On our way home we drove out through Provo Canyon, with a short stop at the Aspen Grove trail head, just to get a look at it. Which got us thinking that maybe later in the summer, we are going to try and hike Mt. Timpanogos again, that we would like to either hike up or down this trail. All in all it was really a great morning of hiking.

Honestly there really isn't anyone that I enjoy hiking with more than my dad. He is such an amazing athlete. I know that I probably slowed him down with my hiking speed, among other things, but he always made me feel like I was pushing him. ha ha ha. He really is so much fun to hike with, he truly is amazing!!! I always enjoy the time I get to spend with him.
My dad- the hiker enthusiast.
